Dr. Blackwell was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN and graduated high school locally from Broad Ripple High School. He completed his undergraduate work at Loyola University, Chicago IL and then attended Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Blackwell continued his training at the IU School of Medicine Family Practice Residency program at Methodist Hospital. Dr. Blackwell is excited to have started his medical practice serving the downtown Indianapolis community.

Dr. Blackwell enjoys working with patients of all ages; especially encouraging patient in preventative health care and helping his patients deal with chronic medical conditions. Patient education is very important and always emphasized in his practice.
